Reunions are almost always a reason to celebrate, eat and be merry. And we did just that last week. Apparently, my brother-in-law who works in Macau went home for the weekend to have a medical check up and to see his family, and his extended family which includes us. So off we went to Toho Chinese Restaurant to pig out last weekend. Our household helper was overwhelmed with the amount of food my in-laws ordered. I myself found it rather hard to resist the food. Next time, I’ll make sure I bring Fastin with me, an effective appetite suppressant.

I seriously need to go to a dermatologist and I have to get a facial one of these days. But aside from getting a regular facial treatment, it’s also necessary to have good set of creams for a healthy skin care regimen. Back in college, my friends and I were big fans of the hit TV series Ally McBeal. Although I also like the series “The Practice”, I guess we gravitate more into watching Ally McBeal because we could relate to her perpetual quest for love, not to mention, the odd cases their firm gets to handle. Back then, my friend Julie and I, are always armed with a pen and a paper whenever we watch the said show, ready to take down any strikingly sad and profoundly true McBealism.

Speaking of Ally McBeal, I remember considering going to law school back in high school. In fact, I was about to sign up for the Debater’s Society in senior high. But I chickened out. Debates are messy, you either have to smash up your opponent’s face or let them smash up yours.

I guess if an LSAT prep program is available in the Philippines, I would have taken a chance. Sadly, the said test and prep program is only available in the US, Canada and Australia. Oh well, I’ll just watch some Ally McBeal episodes before to crack me up now.

Just a while ago, I felt an urge to check my other email account. I long gave up on that email since its flooded with spam mails and facebook alerts. After going over some forwarded emails, I suddenly felt the need to check on the spam folder. And then I read one of the emails, I checked on my spam folder. And finally I got me a surprise! It says I won in one of the blog contests I joined. This is the first time I won something online and I sure do hope its the first of many. I’ll tell you about it once I receive it. Hopefully next time I win something for belly fat reduction.

I’ve always been lazy when it comes to performing skin care ablutions. My mom on the other hand, is very faithful when it comes to her own skin care rituals. And now I’m reaping the fruits of “non-labor”, the zits I told you about yesterday are about to pop. So aside from good skin care regimen I guess I need to look up the best acne treatments there available to me and check it out with our family friend who happens to be a reputable dermatologist, to see find out what he has to say about it.

As of yesterday it’s been 7 days straight that I was able to ditch rice from my diet. So far so good. Although I still haven’t stepped on the scale, yesterday, I managed to comfortably fit into one of my pre-pregnancy denim jeans, which is a size 28. Today I decided to have 1/4 cup of rice. And since there are more occasions coming up that will most likely be an excuse to eat out, I guess I better find myself a good herbal diet pill to help me on the said occasions.

Over the last few years, several local personalities, both from show business and politics have died due to colon cancer. I guess the same can be said in other countries, because I have been reading a lot about colon cancer and how some countries here in southeast Asia are offering colon cleansing procedures at health spas. Some supplements also claim to help in the said process. Although those treatments may be widely available and acceptable nowadays, I’d still say that the best remedy is still to eat colon cleansing foods, fruits and vegetables tops that list. Mikee Cojuangco is known in the Philippines as one of the lovely daughters of Tingting Cojuangco and Peping Cojuangco – well-known and respected couple who belong to the eminent and powerful Cojuangco clan of Tarlac. Aside from TV hosting in the past, Mikee is also one of the Philippine’s finest equestrienne. She has brought home several medals back when she was still competing. I wonder if she’ll ever give showbiz another try. She’s such a pretty face. Actually she’s more than a pretty face. Even when clad with riding breeches, boots and riding jacket, she still spells femme fatal.

My cousin who has been in the US for almost 8 years now is dreaming of spending the summer months here in the Philippines to frolic in the sun-kissed and white sand beaches of the Philippines. But her big predicament is her love handles and curves in the wrong places. The problem with living in the US or in other countries with cold climate, is that you don’t get to sweat as much unlike when you’re in a tropical country. Even if you work out, breaking up a sweat is rather difficult. So my cousin is currently trying thermogenic fat burner to see if that helps. If she comes up with a good review for it, perhaps I’ll give it a try as well.

Yeah, I got unsightly pimples, some new and some about to fade. I wonder if its because I’m about to have my period, but then again I’m not really prone to acne, so perhaps its really because of my period. Thank God these zits are not huge, but I still find it rather bothersome. Note to self: after plurk, facebook and email, look for acne solutions with good reviews.
