Sticking to a diet… sell me some discipline
Posted by bluerlyn on Mar 18, 2010 in Health and Beauty, Health and Fitness, Womanhood |
Stepping on the weighing scale is something that dreads me every time for the past two and half years. After giving birth, I made a pact with myself time and time again that I will get back in shape and have my pre-pregnancy weight at 98lbs. Despite trying out different diets and even resorting to self induced vomiting at times, I still find myself off from my desired weight. I’ve written about the No Rice formula that I’ve tried – it’s one of the diets that work effectively well. But my problem now, is really motivation in sticking to the diet and discipline in resisting sweets and delicious food. Add to that having discipline in working out. I just have so many excuses.
Somebody sell me some discipline! Any suggestions on how I could motivate myself to lose weight?

I know one, and it’s good.
I guess losing weight, aside from the aesthetic benefits, would mean that we are taking care of our body…body given by God as the temple of the Holy Spirit. Yes, we glorify Him by doing what He commands us to do. A better scenario would be doing MORE good works by taking care of our health.
hey erlyn! hmm u can try buying a blouse or dress that you really like that is one or two sizes smaller. Maybe that would encourage you.
I started the no rice diet BY FORCE (haha) when my bestfriend asked me to be the maid of honor and the gown that I am suppose to wear was one size smaller –(I could wear it but im not allowed to SIT) hahahaha!!
I was able to wear it during her wedding – thanks to the no rice diet. Goodluck!!
Hi Erlyn, join the big easter egg hunt together with your dog, or your parents, or your kids at the Whitespace.
Well, do not concentrate on limiting your food intake. I believe the proper way of having those excess baggage taken out of your system is by doing at least 30 minutes of exercise daily.
lol!
im convincing myself to have some diet too.
i gained weight since i started working at home.

I must agree that diet discipline is really hard O_O yes it is, plus eating is fun and yummy isn’t it? but sometimes disciplining ourselves is really need for a healthy lifestyle, walking in the morning at the park is really a good way or if you want you can also buy a badminton tools ^_^ badminton is an effective sport/exercise for loosing weight and it is fun, play with your family you enjoy the game, you lose weight plus.. you improve your bond to your family ^_^

Hello!
My suggestion is for you to encourage your friends or family to start living healthy. We organized “The Biggest Loser” contest here at work and I must say its quite effective! well, at least for me.hehe **16lbs in 5 weeks to date
** Good Luck! Kaya mo yan!
The problem in dieting is when you see your friends/family eating and you are not. You’ll start asking yourself, what the hell am I doing? Why am I depriving myself from eating?
