Summer is definitely upon us, well, at least for us in this part of the globe. The schools are gearing up for the final quarter exams and the kids are definitely going to be busy with Junior Senior Proms and after the much dreaded exams, come the scorching summer heat.
If you have pre-teen kids or early teeners, you can keep them busy over the summer by signing them up for summer clinics. There are various activities to choose from, depending of course on what your kid is interested in. I used to beg my dad to sign me up for voice lessons, acting or dancing classes but all pleading were received by deaf ears. Not that my dad’s cruel, he just wanted me to go for martial arts for practical reasons. There are also going to be a lot of places, particularly, club houses, that will be offering lessons for swimming classes. And of course, Yamaha and other music stores are offering discounted rates for groups and individuals signing up for classes like voice and guitar lessons. I used to be interested in trying out and studying how to play the drums but I do not have a drum kit for that, so it wouldn’t really work out in the end if I decide on learning that.
Now that I’m in my early 30′s I’m actually thinking of signing up for swimming lessons, I know that Bert Lozada Swimming School offers lessons for adults and kids alike. And I particularly like to sign up for the lessons they offer for parents and kids together because I think it will be fun for my little boy and me. On the other hand, I still have to research for pools where they do not use chlorinated water as that’s not good for the little boy. Anyhoo, hope you guys have a fruitful summer, so better start planning now!
