GREAT DAY EVERY DAY BY MAX LUCADO BOOK REVIEW

Great Day Every DayGreat Day Every Day by Max Lucado

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was my first time to read a book written by Max Lucado and I am thrilled. Aside from being a spiritual man and having lots of insights to impart his readers, Max Lucado has a sense of humor that is definitely evident in his writing. It is not often that I find myself shaking my shoulders with mirth when reading a book from a Christian author. Most books on Christianity and faith have very little humor and mostly dwell on very serious matter. So it is indeed refreshing to read Great Day Every Day by Max Lucado, considering that the wisdom in its pages is essential in daily Christian Living while at the same time, the author makes it very relatable with his anecdotes about his own daily struggles.

I like the fact that Mr. Lucado keeps the book interesting by citing a story and then driving to his main point or the insight that he wanted to share, and making it more concrete by providing scriptural reference in the Bible. I have struggled to finish a lot of Christian books in the past because it is sometimes too heavy on scriptural references at the same time heavy on doctrines and theological concepts, and very little citations of real life application and experiences.

If Mr. Lucado’s books were a dish, I’m definitely getting another serving.
