WHY I WANT A BATH TUB

I love being in the water and for as long as I can remember, I know I’ve always loved swimming, whether its in a beach or a pool. In fact thinking about it, I must have been a dolphin or a Labrador in my past life. I wish we could afford to remodel the house and one of the projects that I have in mind is having a claw tub.

WHY I LIKE AMERICAN SOAP BETTER THAN FILIPINO SOAP

I have always been fond of following American TV series. Back in the late 80′s during my grade school days, I loved watching Beauty and the Beast (theme song – First Time I Loved Forever), and since I’m still too young at that time, yes I was also fond of following Pinoy TV series, soap operas to be more precise, the ones like Anna Luna, Ula ang Batang Gubat and the likes. Growing up, I Read more…

BAMBANG – HOME OF ALL YOUR MEDICAL EQUIPMENT NEEDS

I went to UST in high school and college and the first time I learned about medical equipment was when we had to purchase a dissecting kit for our Biology class. I wasn’t born in affluent family and so the need to look for cheaper alternatives became innate in me. Read more…

PREDICTIVE TEXTS AND WHY I SOMETIMES DON’T LIKE IT

Predictive text can sometimes be a good feature in our mobile phones these days, but in some and even most cases, it could be downright inconvenient, and  well quite a headache. Although later on that headache leads to hilarity. Just like that screen capture, I also had my share of these things. A few weeks ago, I called the home spa to book a home service massage. Here’s the exchange: Read more…

The luck Marvin Agustin brings in ‘Wil Time Bigtime’

In Marvin Agustin’s two-day hosting stint at Wil Time Bigtime, the actor-entrepreneur-restaurateur proved to be a contestant’s lucky charm.

For two days straight, Marvin seems to bring luck to the contestants. Aling Virginia won the Baliktaran segment during Marvin’s first day, but the biggest winner was Mavic who took home the Mega Jackpot (P1Million, brand new car and a house and lot) during his second day. Read more…

MINGGAY – MY FELINE ASSASSIN, GONE TOO SOON

Minggay came to my life almost a year ago. I was at home and doing some chores in the garage when I heard a kitten “meowing”. I immediately went out and saw this little kitten at the parking area of the apartment building next door. I picked it up and saw that he was just probably around two weeks old or perhaps even barely two weeks. I brought him home, nursed him and cared for him. I would feed him every 3 hours, and since his mouth is too little for a syringe (of course without the needle), I opted to buy him a feeding bottle designed for puppies and kittens, despite the scarcity of funds. But that didn’t make things easier for us too, so I tried to innovate and made use of cotton buds and later on cotton balls to feed him milk. And he did grow up, we actually thought he’s a she. Yeah, I’m such a dog person that I don’t know how to tell if a cat is a he or a she.  Read more…

OF WEDDINGS AND DIETS

My cousin recently proposed to his girlfriend of four years and they are tying the knot come November.  And while we are all excited for this new journey that these lovebirds are about to take, we’re all also frantic about the wedding preps.  And while it is absolutely thrilling to plan for a wedding, the actual meetings with potential suppliers and other logistics could be quite a headache.

NEW BLOG? PERHAPS

In the light of the current situation we are having, specific to our need to restructure our finances and atone for some bad money mistakes we did in the past, I’ve been thinking of chronicling our journey towards becoming debt-free in God’s sweet time (hopefully in 2 years time at the most. I’m still on the first stage, like picking a domain name. Any suggestions?
