MY FLAVORS OF THAILAND EXPERIENCE AT THE MANILA MARRIOTT HOTEL

The Manila Marriott Hotel recently added Thai cuisine to their already sumptuous buffet dinner and people from the blogging world were given this wonderful chance to have a taste. I consider myself lucky to receive such an invitation, so the gloomy weather did not stop me to go all the way to Marriott Hotel which is well totally far from our place of residence. Too bad my husband was too tired to come as well.

The dishes served did not disappoint! It was a complete explosion of flavor, filled with mouth-watering gastronomical delights that is absolutely Thai in taste – yeah spicy! But I wont complain because I love spicy foods.

The soup tasted totally new to me, it’s like having Sinigang mixed with coconut milk. I wanted to try a little bit of everything so I did not stuff myself too much with the first set of food I got to try and liked. Going back to the soup, Leirs said she felt her clogged nose cleared up after finishing a bowl of this soup, pretty much the same effect you get when you had too much wasabi on your sauce.

Now here comes my first plate for the night. Yep you read that right, first plate! And that’s why it’s called a buffet!

Last May 15, my fellow bloggers and I trooped to Zoobic Safari. We left Makati around 7am and got there 2 hours after. We were welcomed with a sumptuous breakfast. After which were right away treated to an amazing animal show. The said show features 4 poodles, 3 of which are trained to dance the waltz, one of the 3 is capable of dancing Tinikling, while the other one plays the piano organ. It was later on followed by 2 monkeys, one showcasing his ability to dunk and shoot some hoops while the other one is capable of riding a miniature horse and fence at the same time. Read more…

FILIPINO ENTREPRENEURS NOW have their own theme song thanks to the collaboration of Pinoy music legends Rico Blanco and Arnel Pineda. The song, “Para sa mga Bossing” serves as an anthem for entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs—it’s a call for them to continue striving for success, to gather courage and to take control of their destiny. The anthem has been recorded and released, giving voice to the aspirations and accomplishments of Filipino SMEs (small-to-medium scale entrepreneurs).

“PLDT-SME Nation is happy that our vision for Filipino entrepreneurs is being shared so enthusiastically, and with such dedication, by Rico Blanco and Arnel Pineda. We’re happy that the talents of Rico and Arnel are able to help our advocacy and inspire entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs in a powerful way,” says Kat Luna-Abelarde, PLDT vice-president and head of PLDT SME-Nation.

Both Rico and Arnel are committed to using their incredible talents in the service of Filipinos. Rico has previously recorded songs meant to serve a good cause—like the song he released to raise money for Ondoy victims, for example—while Arnel has established his own foundation to help the less fortunate, especially street children. Top Pinoy SMEs embody PLDT-SME Nation Bossing Ako campaign

Mr. Manny V. Pangilinan

WHAT CAN BE DONE to change the country for the better? One way is to build up and strengthen the middle-class. Every country that has made leaps and bounds in its social and economic progress did so only after the growth of its middle-class. This same spirit of nation building drives PLDT-SME Nation to support SMEs (small-to-medium enterprises) and as a result, create a strong, vibrant and thriving middle-class.

“When it comes to wealth creation and providing jobs and opportunities to a greater number of people, our country owes a lot to SMEs. The more SMEs thrive, the better it is for our economy and our society. Only then can we generate jobs, income and opportunities that our workers, professionals and graduates need.

“SMEs form the backbone of the Philippine economy, generating more than 90% of income. More SMEs mean more jobs, more income and more purchasing power. Filipino entrepreneurship is a key to creating a strong economy for the country,” says Kat Luna-Abelarde PLDT vice-president and head of PLDT-SME Nation.

It also seeks to inspire Filipino small-to-medium scale entrepreneurs to continue striving for success and courageously meet the challenges of growing their business.

“We are on a nationwide campaign to encourage a new generation of Filipino entrepreneurs. The Philippines needs more entrepreneurs in order to ensure our economic future. Today, about 90 percent of income in the Philippine economy is generated by SMEs. As we move forward into the 21st century, we’ll need more SMEs to provide more jobs, more income and more purchasing power,” says PLDT-SME Nation Vice President and Head Kat Luna-Abelarde. MY DREAM WEAVER MASSAGE EXPERIENCE AT ORGANIC RITUALS SPA

deep-massageLast Saturday, May 8, after seeing my cousin and his family, I excitedly went to Atlanta Center in Greenhills for a Bloggers SPArty at Organic Rituals Spa. The event was scheduled from 2pm-7pm. Gave heads up to my fellow bloggers that I’ll be there from 430-500pm. I arrived at the spa right before 5pm with my fellow bloggers already having either a foot spa with mani and pedi or a massage.

The place has a very homey ambiance with huge, soft cushioned chairs ready to receive tired and stressed out customers. Beautifully coordinated interior pieces like the sofas, chandeliers, drapes and the furnitures should already give you a clue that the place puts a premium on giving its guests a top of the line spa experience, very impressive! THE WHITE HAT ITALIAN FROZEN YOGURT – CHANGING LIVES THIS SUMMER

TWH_QCombos-poster_Mirriam_22x28

All it takes is 250 cups of White Hat Yogurt for us to provide one scholar with one year of high school education, and when one unites, it can do so much more. With the support from Miriam, her sponsors and with the help of Real LIFE Foundation volunteers, it was all possible.

Despite being delayed for a week caused by a fire incident in Shangri-La Plaza, Miriam still has a positive attitude when she arrived.  Last May 2, 2010 at The White Hat Shangri-La Plaza, Miriam Quiambao volunteered to help raise funds for Real LIFE Foundation, our goal was to provide at least one scholar with one year education. There were so many ways to help during that day; beat the heat with a refreshing taste of Miriam’s unique creations, “Have the Hots for Miriam’s Hats” or you can purchase the Limited Edition Little Miss White Hat Shirts specially designed by Ms. Miriam Quiambao in collaboration with The Perfect White Shirt.

Miriam fans, loyal White Hat customers, supporters of Real LIFE Foundation began crowding the area as they all waited in line to be served by Miriam. Support from sponsors also gave their fair share in helping Ms. Quiambao in reaching her goal. Gift Certificates from Lay Bare Libis Branch and a free Hair Makeover from Hairworks Salon were given as raffle prizes, while a pack of White Radiance Facial Mask courtesy of Olay Philippines were distributed to all Miriam’s hats buyers; two very unique and enticingly scrumptious combos were offered for the entire day; Summer Delight, a unique blend of Original Yogurt with Fresh Strawberries, Fresh Kiwi and Homemade Granola for a zesty summer and Passionate Indulgence, an exceptional flavor of Original Yogurt with Homemade Brownies, Walnut Streusel topped with Chocolate Syrup for the chocolate lovers.
