It was devastating to see the video footages and photographs of the recent flooding in Australia. Last time I read the news 78 were missing/dead, it is not unlikely that it has already went up by now. It only goes to show that despite the fact that Australia is a first-world country, they are not exempted to these kind of calamities. Death and natural disasters are indeed great equalizers.
Now the question is, what do we do about it. Flooding and earthquakes are happening left and right and climate change is advancing at a pace that is rather too alarming. We are truly in the brink of a climate change. I say, people should really start thinking about the environment. Plastic production should be slowed down to prevent non-biodegradable wastes, recycle, re-forestation and do more green study to help save the environment. These calamities is Mother Nature’s way of reaching out to us and telling us that we need to do something, it is its cry for help. Let’s all respond to that call.
