Yesterday morning while we were watching the news, we saw a story about Filipinos in Dubai, UAE who are going to file a case against a cargo company for delayed shipment. In fact with the duration of the time that the delivery has been delayed, the word delayed is an understatement. One Filipina was crying because she sent the box way back August of last year! With the receipt that she has been issued, it states there that package should be delivered in a month’s time. I figured if there were food items and canned goods in the said package, it would have been expired by now.
There is another Filipina OFW who sent a package through the said company back in November. She said she sent it a month prior her vacation in the Philippines, but she is now back in Dubai and the box is still nowhere to be found. It’s just so sad that the said company can’t get their act together. Perhaps, it’s also a learning experience for OFWs to not just opt for services of shipping companies with cheap rates. It is better to pay for higher charges when you are certain that your package will be received. Best to go with companies that are known for reliable cargo and material handling delivery.
