A barnyard filled with people happily singing the birthday song. A huge inflatable playground filled with children jumping up and down. A birthday celebrant wearing sports jacket racing with his best pals on a mini-go-kart track. Kids playing and riding all they want. These are some of the many things children enjoy in a Fun Ranch party.

The Blue Whale Grill, on the other hand, has an aquatic theme with a working lighthouse, Leaps and Bounds inflatable playground which can be exclusively used for a minimal amount; floating huts, a pond where kids can feed the fishes and Bumper Boats for a more stimulating party experience.

The gutterless Duckpin bowling, Mini-Golf and Tea Cup Ride at Family Fun Zone guarantee intimate and exciting get togethers full of bonding time for both kids and kids at heart. Our Fun Ranch Experience

It was a sunny Saturday morning last December 11, and we trooped to the Fun Ranch in Ortigas. Hubby is still sleepy while I came home straight from the night shift. Our little guy is also still sleepy, but the sight of his Crocs woke him up and got him excited. I’ve wanted to bring him to Fun Ranch for quite some time now, but somehow, something always comes up. So when I got an invite from Mommy Lace, I decided that delaying my sleep will be all worth it since i know the little guy will have fun.

When we got there, the program already started and I was happy to see a couple of fellow bloggers.

EVENT:  BLOGGER EVENT

DATE:  DECEMBER 11, 2010

PROGRAM

9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.                     REGISTRATION/DISTRIBUTION OF TOKENS

9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.                   ASSIGNMENT OF ADOPTED CHILDREN AND GAMES

10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.                OPENING OF BUFFET

11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.                MAGIC SHOW

12:30 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.                GIVING AWAY OF LOOT BAGS

12:45 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.                  CLOSING/REMINDERS FROM FUN RANCH

1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.                    FREE TIME (RIDE ALL YOU CAN/FAMILY FUN ZONE)

The kids were obviously giddy and excited. Too bad my kiddo wanted to go out and look around that he and his dad missed the magic show.  On the other hand, he had fun playing on the indoor play ground. Too bad I’m already woozy from lack of sleep that we had to bounce immediately after and my son alone is a handful. If only we brought both household help, we could have stayed and attended to the other kids from the orphanage, and adopt them for the rest of the day. Nathan would have had fun playing with them.

We did enjoy the rides, well, at least the ones, we got to try out with  Nathan. He got bored though with the bump car because he and his dad, were all by their lonesome at the time they tried it out. He particularly like the Ferris wheel though and the carousel.

The Fun Ranch is an ultimate party place for kids. Children will definitely have a memorable experience holding their parties there. Surprisingly, I felt like a kid again while in there. My fond memories of the Fiesta Carnival came into mind as I was trying out the rides with my son. With that, we’ll definitely be back!

California Dreaming

Later this afternoon, I will be ta king the first step in realizing my dream for a better future for my family. I am praying for God’s blessing and speedy processing of our papers. Hopefully we’ll be spending Christmas next year away from Pinas. Despite the title of this entry, please note that my plans of moving to another part of the world doesn’t mean that we were going to the US. On the other hand, I’m dreaming of going to the US mainly to visit California and see my long lost relatives and cousins who grew up there, and of course check out Disney Land. On top of that I’d like to visit some friends in Utah and go to Florida for a grand Orlando vacation.

Grade School Kids Nationwide Unite for Good Nutrition

A not-so-fit Future?

It has often been said that our future lies in the children of our country.

But what kind of future is in store for us when Philippine Statistics show that approximately 8 million Filipino children are malnourished?

Various nutrition education programs during Nutrition Month have been implemented to underscore the importance of proper nutrition among schoolchildren.

To teach schoolchildren about nutrition is already something. But to revolutionize it into a nationwide interschool competition for them to learn is something else.

That is why Kraft Cheez Whiz, one of the most-loved cheese brands in the country in partnership with the Department of Education has come up with Palamantasan–the first interschool competition among grade school students nationwide in a quest for nutrition education.

Education is still the key

In line with the Department of Education’s thrust to enhance nutrition education in schools, Kraft Cheez Whiz chose to do a school-based program to further raise public consciousness.  “School is second to home where children learn basic lessons and values,” Alex Dan Tacderas, Category Manager for Cheese and Spoonables, Kraft Foods Philippines shares. “That is why we wanted to direct our cause and execute our program in schools–in both an enjoyable and educational way,” Tacderas adds. Johnson and Johnson’s Mommy Bloggers Meet up

j&jLast Saturday – May 29, 2010, Johnson & Johnson’s held the third part of its Mommy bloggers meet up. It was my first time to attend as I was able to agree to attend other events during the first two scheduled meet ups. But I’m all set for the rest. I met other mom’s, soon-to-be mom’s, and would-be mom’s in the future (the single ladies). Anyway, we met at Dulcinea in Eastwood. Mee-i and I thought there was no one at the venue just yet so off we ate at McDonald’s for breakfast. When we came back after, it was only then that we found out that the event will be taking place at the second floor of Dulcinea and it’s already started. So yeah, we were fashionably late.

The main topics we’ve discussed are: 1.) Creating a Safe Environment for your Baby  2.) Touch Therapy and how it improves your child’s development Read more…
