Knee Pains

image taken from scc.uchicago.edu

I’ve been having knee pains as of late, and this may due to the fact that I’ve been wearing boots with 2 inch hills for most of the time. And since I’m 30lbs heavier than my pre-pregnancy weight, then perhaps that’s the reason for the knee pains. So I figured I should switch to flats for now. I’m trying to look for good shoes online and found these really cool summer shoes, they’re called algeria shoes. I don’t think it’s available here in Manila, and well quite frankly I won’t be able to use it much in the office. But they’re  sure damn cute!

Sunsilk Hair Repair Kit

Looking back now, I think I never got the chance to blog and thank Sunsilk about the Hair repair kit that they sent me months ago. I merely sent a text message, following the instructions in the commercial that they have. It came in a bit late and I had to call their hotline to inquire if my message was received, although I do have an automated text reply from them. The operator was friendly and told me that she will follow up. Days later I got a box in the mail containing this glitzy items that are from Sunsilk.

I like the fact that Sunsilk, as well as other shampoo manufacturers are exploring on diversifying their product line. There’s hair lengthening, volumizing for better body, straight and smooth for frizzy hair, and the list just goes on. I won’t be surprised if they will later on venture into coming up with additional hair loss products. For now I think, shampoo manufacturers only have the hair fall control, which I think will eventually give way to a better line up.

Anyway, all I want to say is Thank you Sunsilk. :) The product did deliver. ;)

On skin products

I did look at the old pictures that I have, the ones that are from back 5 to 8 years ago and boy were they different from the face I see now in the mirror. I looked stressed and really tired. Although on the pictures that I have recently, my skin is at its fairest. On the other hand, on a closer inspection, there seems to be a lot of blemishes and sun spots. Fortunately, I don’t see any fine lines and I would like to keep it that way. Now that I’m in my line of 3, I vow to keep the following resolution:

  • religiously have facials or a diamond peel twice a month
  • find out the best anti wrinkle creams and see which on the list is most affordable for me.
  • drink more water
  • eat more fruits and vegetables.
  • exercise

Such a tall order. I certainly hope I get to keep all.

Haircare 101

image taken from immortalhumans.com

They say that the hair is the crowning glory of a person, and I haven’t actually heard of anyone who dared to contradict the said statement. And that is why women, and even men, are becoming more and more conscious of how  they take care of their hair. Below are a few tips you can use to ensure that you give your hair its much need TLC.

  • Use a conditioner – while others, mostly men, may be content with just using a shampoo, using a conditioner provides extra TLC for your hair. It not only makes the hair softer, it also aids in the repair of damaged hair.
  • Use a shampoo that is appropriate for your hair type. If you have colored hair, frizzy or straight hair, there are shampoo brands out there that is well suited for your hair type. There’s even a shampoo for thin hair.
  • Using various hair products for styling your hair too often can damage your hair and your scalp, make sure you take steps in restoring the natural sebum of your hair by going for hair treatments such as hot oils or hair spas.
  • Brush and comb your hair! Yes that old adage still holds true. It helps make your hair shine. :)
