CAR SALES AGAIN

Since the fourth quarter of the year is just around the corner, car dealers are starting to hype up their sales promotions since it is expected that more people are going to be able to afford to buy new car units. This is because of the government mandated 13th month pay for employees, at least here in the Philippines. I’m sure first world countries have more incentive during the holiday for the people that make up their working class.

Too bad I have too many things to pay for, too many debts to settle, as such I wont be able to purchase a car for myself this coming end of the year. Hopefully, by next year I can. But most of all, I hope by next Christmas I’ll be driving a car in a snow-covered road. In the mean time, I’ll just have to be content with reading about rave and rants of new car models, gps reviews on the new and better gps brands. It’ll be nice to also check out car promos with good freebies, usually new car releases nowadays already comes with mags, tv monitors and gps systems. It is highly essential that a new car comes with a gps tracking system, now that carnapping is still very rampant and that was carnappers are also becoming more sophisticated and cunning in their ways.

Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to have the old car repaired so I can learn how to drive real soon before our immigrant application gets approved.

TRUCK HOUSES FOR SALE

Last Sunday as I was browsing through the classified ads of the Manila Bulletin, I was surprised to find an ad that sells truck houses. Basically they will build you a house from truck compartments. Each unit, not sure of the measurement though, is said to cost roughly PhP 99k. Their selling point is that it is low maintenance, termite-free, rust-proof and durable. They can also sell you multiple units so you can stack it up if you want a second floor and so forth. Interesting eh? And how very ingenious don’t you think? Too bad I don’t remember if they have a website. I’ll try to check later and see if they do, so I can post pictures here from their site. And who knows some people might actually be interested.

Reminds me of the time when I was still little. I used to pester my dad whenever I’d see rvs (roving vehicles)  in American films. I wanted to live in one. I wonder when they can have used rvs for sale here in the Philippines. We’d probably be the first ones to buy. :)

Cool Truck Transformation

There has been natural disasters left and right – super typhoons causing flooding, earthquakes etc. Most of which are caused by our own undoing. These calamities are the environment’s way of shouting Enough, of the abuse we are subjecting it to. In our own little ways, we can find ways in order to do our share and help out. We need to find ways to constantly think about how to reduce waste materials, especially the non-biodegradable ones. We need to recycle our waste materials.

Speaking of recycling, I’m extremely fascinated at this cool truck that was restored and completely improved and re-designed by 3 Japanese buddies. The said friends were not even engineers to begin with. But somehow, they managed to salvage this sorry-looking truck…

toyotadyna1to this cool one that could give Optimus Prime a run for his money.

toyotadyna8It may look like any other small truck, but don’t be fooled because the said truck can transform into a two-story mobile dwelling unit. Wondering how that happens and how it looks like, well check out the pictures and be amazed too.

GOOD CAR INSURANCE COVERS…

car insuranceBefore you rave about your car insurance policy, better find out if your policy covers most of the following items:

  • Bodily injury coverage should be part of liability insurance. It’s going to save you much headache and money when somebody else is injured in an accident for which you were at fault.
  • Comprehensive coverage is almost always preferred by new car buyers, simply because it saves you from theft, riots, fire, weather-damage, in some cases it will include “natural disasters or acts of God”, vandalism and other non-collision damages.
  • Uninsured or under insured coverage will come in handy if you had an accident and the other party does not have insurance coverage. This part of your insurance pays you for bodily injuries and property damage when the accident is not your fault.
  • Optional Coverage could include road-side assistance, 24 hour towing service and rental service.

Please make sure you to read the policy thoroughly and ask your insurance agent anything that is not clear to you before affixing your signature on the contract.
