Having migraine is a complete bummer! It takes quite a while before the pain goes away, in fact, in my case, I have to be able to completely sleep it off to get rid of the pain. I wasn’t aware that that throbbing pain is migraine, that a mere change in lighting or extremely loud noises triggers it. To make matters worse, I developed an allergic reaction to almost all sorts of over-the-counter pain relievers like Mefanamic acid, Ibuprofen and even Paracetamol. So how do I counter the pains of migraine? Well, below are the things that I do.
- I turn the AC on and turn off the lights to make the room conducive for sleep. In the event that it’s broad day light, I try to put sunglasses on
- Take a tablet of Tylenol.
- I try to massage my scalp and put pressure on my temples.
- Use aromatic oils like lavander, to all the more make myself sleepy.
- When I have the money, I’d normally opt for a home massage.
AllĀ methods are guaranteed to make you sleep.
