Phone Evolution

Microtac_MOTOROLA

I remember my first phone – a Motorola MicroTac. It was a hand me down from my favorite aunt when she finally switched over to a Nokia 5110.  Hubby, who’s not even my boyfriend at that time, used to laugh at me whenever he remembers the time he first saw me with that phone. Fortunately, my uncle who then works at the UAE, sent me a Nokia 3210. The said phone started my fascination with Nokia phones. One memorable Nokia phone I had was the 3650, an odd looking phone with a circular keypad. But I bought it anyway, all I cared about then was that it was capable of  taking pictures and videos.

Nowadays, phones have become more functional. You can store your mp3 in your phones and take beautiful pictures, almost the same as digital cameras. All because most phones nowadays come with memory cards. Back then my 3650 only has a 16mb memory card, while nowadays memory cards can store as much as 8 t0 16 gigabytes of data. Since I have an mp3 player and am not really big on pictures, I just settled for a 2gig micro sd for my current phone.
