Sticking to a diet… sell me some discipline

scaleStepping on the weighing scale is something that dreads me every time for the past two and half years. After giving birth, I made a pact with myself time and time again that I will get back in shape and have my pre-pregnancy weight at 98lbs. Despite trying out different diets and even resorting to self induced vomiting at times, I still find myself off from my desired weight. I’ve written about the No Rice formula that I’ve tried – it’s one of the diets that work effectively well. But my problem now, is really motivation in sticking to the diet and discipline in resisting sweets and delicious food. Add to that having discipline in working out. I just have so many excuses.

Somebody sell me some discipline! Any suggestions on how I could motivate myself to lose weight?

Pardon me for not being able to remember the author, that would be entirely impossible given that it’s been 7 years. The only thing I remember about the article is that the author mentioned the Happy Cow theory (let’s talk about that in a different post), and that her doctor recommended she try this diet plan. She was told not to eat rice for two weeks. On top of that great ordeal, she was also told not to eat any sweets. Oh yeah that’s why the word diet’s first three letters spells d-i-e! :P Well, going back to the story, the author then decided to purchase sugar substitute and have her cook bake her goodies using sugar substitute instead. After 2 weeks the author lost 10 lbs. Read more…
