My Paradizoo Experience

paradizoo (42)

Paradizoo1Last April 23, I joined my fellow bloggers in celebrating the Earth day at Paradizoo in Tagaytay. We met up early in Makati as the event was said to start at 8am. It seems like most of us were too excited for the said event, we all hardly had any sleep so by the time we were inside the bus, after very little time for chit chat, we were all knocked out.

We arrived a bit late on the venue as we had an unexpected, yet fun, stop over at Splash Island, which will have to be a separate blog entry. Anyway, when we arrived at the Paradizoo grounds, the ceremony has already started. And with us for the said event are representatives of the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the Philippines as you can see in the picture above. The man not wearing a uniform was the town’s (Mendez, Cavite) very down to earth Mayor – Hon. Manuel L. Romera. He arrived at the event boarded in a tricycle, so humble and down to earth!

Immediately after the ceremony and the breakfast, we set to tour the grounds to see the attractions of the place. I’m so not prepared for the said activity, I was too lazy to iron out a pair of jeans the night before that I actually settled for the pair of slacks I saw hanging in my closet. I should’ve worn a pair of shorts or capri jeans and rubber shoes. Going back, the first thing we were tasked to do was to plant Rambutan trees.
